Why Bone Broth?

You may have heard of wise man Hippocrates. He’s known as the father of modern medicine, and the statement above had withstood the test of time.

Why is gut health so important?

Well, bacteria lives throughout the entire body, but the bacteria in the gut has the biggest impact on our well-being, affecting everything from our metabolism, to our mood and immune system.

You may have caught onto the popularity of bone broth in recent years for its potent health benefits.

And in case you’re wondering what they are, let me tell you a bit more.

While the list of benefits is through the roof, the basics are this: bone broth is highly rich in minerals and an excellent source of vitamins, making it supportive for our immune system, our skin, our bones, teeth, and joints.

Bone broth also contains healing compounds like collagen, glutamine, and glycine, which heal the gut lining and reduce intestinal inflammation.

How to Enjoy Bone Broth at Home

Drinking broth is magic.

Broth is one component of nutrition and nourishment that we can add into our lives that is very affordable, delicious, and easy!

I love making warming bone broth and flavoring it up in different ways so that I can enjoy it throughout the week.

Sometimes, I infuse it with saffron, lemon, and ghee. Other times I enjoy flavors such as ginger, coconut aminos, and green onion!

Oftentimes, I just give it a good sprinkle of Celtic sea salt and a squeeze of lemon juice and call it good.

Regardless, having a jar of warming bone broth to take with me during the day and nourish my body and soul definitely changes my whole day. 

Flavoring your bone broth is super easy!

Once it’s made, steep it like tea in your own creative ways.

Here are some of my favorite flavors:

  • Turmeric Ginger Lemon

  • Saffron Ghee 

  • Thyme Garlic

  • Coconut Lime Cilantro
